Aspen Spine and Physical Medicine is an internationally recognized sports medicine clinic with over 20 years of practice and experience. World-class athletes, influential leaders, and Aspen locals alike converge here for the "hands-on" approach to get patients well as fast as possible so they can continue their active life style. Our patient’s treatment average 4.5 visits before they are released.
The realm of physical medicine is manually working on patients and incorporates chiropractic and physical therapy. Dr. Haynie spends 20-45 minutes with each patient to evaluate, consult, diagnose, treat, educate and train the patient so they are informed and understand what their diagnosis is and how to resolve their condition. Dr. Haynie is a trained chiropractor, who specializes in full body biomechanics so he can address both your compensatory symptoms and the true root cause of the problem. He has over 20 years experience with Active Release Techniques, Graston Technique, acupuncture, and dry needling. He has taught biomechanical evaluation courses, and an in-depth biomechanical assessment when treating all conditions or before considering making custom orthotics for his patients.

As a musculoskeletal specialist Dr. Haynie focuses not only on joints and ligaments, but spends as long as needed to break up adhesions and restore full range of motion and function to the soft tissue structures of the body with techniques like ART- Active Release Technique, Dry Needling and Graston. The field of physical medicine is changing; doctors are now sending patients to specialists like Dr. Haynie who can go through a patient’s biomechanics to resolve the root of the problem. This change in the physical medicine model has doctors looking at the patients improper movement and mobility patterns and addressing the patients compensations by breaking up scar tissue and restoring function to joints and soft tissue structures for a couple of visits before they go into physical therapy or in conjunction with physical therapy or occupational therapy. By restoring the patients function and mobility before the patient does exercises the patients are resolving faster and with less visits.
